If you’ve got any form of arthritis – and many people do – you may not feel like exercising when you have arthritis pain. However, doctors recommend that the best thing to do for arthritis is to stay active. Low-impact exercises are the best remedy for arthritis, especially aerobics, strength training and stretching. Exercises that promote flexibility and balance, allowing joints to move through their entire range of motion, can help arthritis. Water-based exercises are a very effective way to decrease the joint pain and stiffness that often accompanies arthritis.
My Stretch + Strength classes can help you stay active. The low-impact exercises in this class stretch every muscle in your body gently and effectively. You’ll gain flexibility and muscle strength as well as working on your balance in my Stretch + Strength class. Specialized hand exercises will stretch your hands and fingers to help them become more flexible.
Stretch + Strength classes are offered Wednesday and Friday morningsfrom 8:30-9:45 and Monday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. at our east Tucson Civano studio.
My Water Aerobics classes use the buoyancy of the water for a total body workout that is very easy on joints. Using water resistance, you build fitness, endurance, muscular strength and flexibility. And you’ll enjoy some fun, refreshing exercises while in the water.
Water Aerobics classes are offered Tuesday morning from 10-11 at the Civano North Pool. in east Tucson.
Please join me and the fun people in my classes for some effective exercises to stay active and in shape.
